This is Pundit R.A.Sastry's journal of his visit to Continental Europe and Scandinavia
around 1930 AD. His journal has been reproduced here word for word for the
sake of authenticity. I have intentionally left in place grammatical errors
and spelling mistakes and personal touches like the unconventional
capitalization of certain words. The only alteration I have made is to
break up the account into paragraphs to make it more readable. For those of
you who, like myself, are descendants of Pundit R.A.Sastry, but are not
sure how, I will try and post a clear explanation shortly. For now, the
best way to locate him genealogically is that he was the maternal
grandfather of my own paternal grandfather, Sri. V.R.Krishnan. If you have
